Maeroa Intermediate is focused on meeting the unique needs of emerging adolescents. Our aim is to grow great young people, working in partnership with parents, and preparing our young people to be positive, contributing members of the community.
We provide high-quality teaching and learning programmes with a clear focus on ensuring that all students learn and achieve the best possible level of their ability in the core areas of literacy and mathematics. All students have opportunities to participate in a broadly balanced, holistic programme designed to cater for their needs. There are numerous opportunities for students to experience and excel in academic, cultural, sporting and leadership activities. We encourage our students to try new activities and get involved in our school community.
We have high expectations for our students' learning and behaviour at Maeroa Intermediate. Our students are encouraged to become lifelong learners and our school motto “I will not cease from mental fight" encourages the development of resilience, responsibility and respect. These overarching values, extensive opportunities, and rich learning environments support the development of students who are able to continue their learning as they move through their lives.
I look forward to welcoming your whaanau into our Maeroa community.
